Hi, my name is Pam. I was approved for SSi & SSD in April 06. On my SSI award letter, it says I will be reviewed in April 09, which would be 3 yrs. On my SSD award letter it says I will be reviewed in 5-7 yrs. Does anyone know why there is two different review dates. Thank you, Pam

My guess is that the person writting the determination made a human error. Did one case putting in the code for a 3 yr review and the other case put in the code for 5-7 yr review. When your SSI comes up for review, you can be assured that the SSDI will be reviewed at the same time. They do not do seperate reviews. Don't expect the review to come at exactly 3 yrs. Right now, some states are over a year behind in CDRs.

is there any code on the original approval letter that tells you what you were approved under.
for instance a line item disability
or a combination of the age, very heavy lifting work for over 20 years and spine injury.

I was 55 at time of approval. I was approved for COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) 12% lung capacity. And also bi polar manic. The excessive use of prednisone due to my severe lung disease threw me into bi polar manic disease. Not sure how that happened, but the doctor's say that is what happened. I am also on a nebulizer machine, along with various meds. I don't think I have to be concerned about the reviews, could be wrong though. But I just couldn't understand why I would have two review dates? Thank You, Pam
