Hello!!
The rummage sale was a bit disappointing this weekend. Friday was cloudy, windy and rather chilly all day. It looked like it might rain at any second - although the weather report didn't say rain - only clouds. :rolleyes: I was set up about 8:30 AM but no one came for about 45 minutes. Throughout the day there weren't a lot of people but there was a pretty steady flow so at least I wasn't sitting twiddling my thumbs for too long between customers. lol I made almost $50 yesterday. Not much, but considering I only had a couple items that were marked over $5 (most of the stuff was marked under $1), I guess that's not too bad. :rolleyes: Certainly gives me enough cash to cover the cost of gas for driving 90 miles (one way) to a Clint Black concert next Friday. :D Can't complain about that!!! :) :) And it also frees up some more money for a motel room so I can stay overnight and not have to drive home in the dark (after 10 PM). Deer tend to be more active then so I'd rather not take that chance if I can avoid it. :eek: Maybe I can even 'upgrade' a bit now and stay in a little nicer place that isn't so far away from where the concert is being held. hmmm.... Decisions, decisions!!! At this point our extended forecast is showing no rain for Friday but I know that can change very quickly around here! ;) Long story short - it was raining this morning and since my sale had to be set up outside, well, needless to say, I didn't get a chance to make more money today! :( Oh well -- I did get rid of quite a bit of stuff without just throwing it away or giving it to Goodwill or another place like that. I'm planning on taking most of what's left to a place like that though. And I have some fabric that I will donate to a couple church quilting groups near here, so that will be going for a good cause. :) My mom was in a quilting group in her church and I know she'd be pleased if I give to the group. :)
