Hello Everyone
It's a lovely day here in Missouri ..... I hope it's nice where you are.

And I hope, Kathy, that you're doing well. :) I especially hope you're with those grand and gorgeous grandkids and enjoying NOT wishing you could have a smoke !!

Morning Jingle! It is also a nice morning in Nebaska! I am still a non smoker and not having nearly the cravings I was having before, now they are kind of fleeting little "i wants". I can swap them away like nats most of the time, after meals is the toughest!

My biggest pet peeve is how bad this place smells! It literally makes my eyes water, the stale smoke smell is killing me! I have gotten by bed changes 2x's since last sunday, and at least I can go to sleep w/o sheets that stink!

Than you Jingle, for not giving up on me! I truley appreciate you!

Hi guys, beautiful here this morning. Heat is gone and I do believe that I will lay in my swing today and read my new issue of Real Simple. One of my guilty pleasures as the magazine is expensive but I got the renewal cheaply.

I am glad to hear that your cravings have reached gnat status lol. Those gnats will come fewer and farther between after awhile.

Christina - I've never been in Michigan..... but Kathy, I lived in Omaha for three years .... hmmmmmm 1980-1983 I think.

The smell of cigarettes is one of the biggest suprises for me. Oh my goodness!!!!! I truly did not know how they smelled.
Now I go shopping, walk down the aisle of a clean and sparkling store and quickly pass an attractive person to be almost floored by the reek of cigarettes. I am astonished.

I worked long and hard to get my home cleaned and the stench removed. Because I live in the basement (long, painful story) the particle (??) ceiling boards had to be replaced.......... I just could not get them cleaned. Every single inch has been cleaned and/or repainted and/or replaced. The entire process took over two years but it's been worth it.

Try using Lysol Neutra Air spray, or Febreze Air Effects spray, Renuzit Super Odor Neutralizer spray or Oust has a similar air neutralizer spray. They worked pretty well for me.

Unfortunately it does take a while and several applications of the spray to get the smell to diminish. I also used a fabric refresher spray on furniture, drapes, clothes/coats, or anything that was too difficult to wash in the machine. ;) Otherwise, I washed everything that would fit in the washer.

If the smoke stained walls, etc. are a problem, then doing what jingle did is the best way to handle that.

Hi All, I can't tell you how much your support has ment to me! I seem to be isolating more, then I am not temped by others smoke. The chantix is working much better, I think attitude has made a huge impact.

Jingle, where did you live in Omaha? I moved here spring of 1983, w/my husband (now ex) was stationed at Offutt. I live in Bellevue, near East Hi.

Again Thank You all so very much!:D
