Does anyone here have a non removable GPS, ID, Alarm bracelet on their child?
I'm trying to think of the best way to keep Ariana safe. Right now, I'm afraid to even fall asleep, or go to the bathroom without her.

How old is she? Does she use the phone at all? I know that sounds weird...I just got Drew a Migo from Verizon. He adores Shrek (which the phone is, for the time being; they were about to discontinue it), and it has a tracking device, so we can always know where he is. He doesn't wander anymore, thank God (we went through years of that! ), but it's a great backup (e.g. getting lost in the store, etc). They're exclusively Verizon, and they're about $50 when added to your plan, but if you're a long-time customer, as I am, you might be able to talk them down some. I got it for $30. :)

Are you referring to microchip implant? You shouldn't put it in your child because it is the mark of the beast.

No Roman, that isn't what she said, she meant a bracelet as she stated clearly in the original post, a non-removable bracelet with GPS in it. :)

Unfortunately those are too bulky at the present time Heather, but maybe in a few years they will come out with something like that. I am going to be getting a ID bracelet for my son with our address and phone number on it, one of the stainless steel ID bracelets. I think for the moment besides a Medic Alert shoe tag, that is the best we're going to get. :p

Roman, contrary to many conspiracy theories, its not the mark of the beast.

If you read revelation, you have to worship the beast as well.

Then I am not sure what are you referring to by bracelet. How can it help track anyone unless it sends out radiowaves or whatever?

And also if it is non-removable, will it stay with her as she is adult? And in this case won't the "mark" component be just as big as with microchip?

I would choose side of caution

If you read revelation, you have to worship the beast as well.

Why?

Sorry folks. I'm not worried about The Beast. I'm afraid of human weirdos taking her.
I didn't plan on getting a device implanted in Ariana, although I've had to consider worse for Aidan. He already has a VP shunt and we've had VNS discussions with his neurologist.
I will be getting a stainless steel ID bracelet and continue to rely on the kindness of Good Samaritons, if she escapes, to return her to our address.
We continue to brainstorm...

About the alarm idea... DH and I hashed it over and he pointed out that an alarm would give Aidan terrible startle myoclonics during the day and wake him up for hours at night. We can't do that.
So, I think it would need to be a soothing sound, like a door harp. Something we'll hear but Aidan will be able to get used to. Instead of outgrowing his primitive reflexs they are becoming more like full blown seizures and once they get started they are self perpetuating, leading to vomitting with the risk of aspiration.
Door harp suggestions?

I work in a Mental health hospital...I've seen multiple kids with them. They look similar to a tether on the ankle, but smaller. Plus they can be adjusted larger as they grow. I know it is sort of expensive, but it beats the lost times...
