I think the entire FDA needs to be revamped. Latest nonsense is giving Viagra to women on anti-depressants! And what they are allowing to be given kids & old people is shameful......maybe those 44 workers need to work harder? If they can't do their jobs then cancel out the jobs?

antidepressants screw up sex drive in men, too, not just women. i have to wonder if it's caused as many marriage failures as the drop in libido caused by birth control pills. if women want to try this, i think they've got as much of a right to it as men do. give it a go, i would. viagra will probably be an OTC drug as soon as the patent protection runs out, anyhow. that's the way it goes with these things. prescription-only is as much about maximizing drug profits as anything.
thing is, i can't really trust FDA to even manage on-label usage properly. ephedrine is still one of the best weight-loss supplements available, only you can't label it for that use anymore. and i really don't care if the diet-ban was to curb methamphetamine production or because big pharma can't stand to see a cheap, effective weight-loss drug on the market. either way, if it's not dishonest, it's at least irresponsible, and i don't know which is worse.

do you honestly believe the FDA wants us to lose weight? The more fat we are the more drugs we can look forward to: diabetes, high blood pressure,arthritis......etc. The whole point is to keep on us on cycle of drugs=huge profit.
