Hey all. I know I havn't been around much but I do watch storm. Hurricans. We just had one of our coast this week end was hopping to come in land to give us some rain. But only a few place gat just a small anount.
I stay busy and try and do the best I can. I have sold a few things around the house. Done good. And I have put my corn up didn't do to bad.
My pain is up and down but if I stop I know I will never do any thing again. So I will do as long as I can.
Greg got the job with the state and today is his first day. So in 90 days we will have ins. that is a good feeling to know we will have ins once again. I really need to see my doc. But I just didn't have the money. But over all doing okay. I will try and pop in time to time when it is slow out there in the waters.
Hugs

Deb, I have been watching the hurricanes also, thinking of you and others in it's path. I am so happy to hear you will have insurance soon! I just cannot imagine not being able to see my doc when needed! Did you can sweet corn? If so, I would love a jar:D My best friends family has a farm and we go and pick corn then freeze it. Yummy!

I freeze everything. I can tomatoes once and went bad so I said I would never can again. But yes we got about 2-3 bushels. This was our first year at organic so we didn't plant a a lot. We will next year. We know it works and know how to. so next year I would be able to send you some overnight.

Deb, thanks so much for the offer, I was kidding! :o You are so sweet! I did have my first fresh local corn last night and it was delish! I am sure you and your family are going to enjoy all your efforts in the garden. I hope the weather, your body and husband are treating you well. Take care.:)

Deb,
You and Kathy are making me hungry! :) Yum, fresh local corn and homegrown tomatoes is what I want. I think the Indiana State Fair has the best corn on the cob I have ever eaten and I want to go in August. You just get some, dip it in melted butter, salt it and it is the best ever! :)

You're all making me hungry and jealous! I'm currently (and for the past 14 years) living in exile in Texas (jobs keep us here), but my real home is western NC. I had a garden there for years and canned and froze and it was so good. Here, I don't even have soil, just some mucky gray stuff. I have a small raised bed, but it's too hot come summer to work out there, and the plants don't like it, either. ;) Besides, for the past couple of years, I couldn't have worked out in a garden anyway.
Hurricane Dolly came ashore here in TX, but not close to us. We were hoping for some rain from it, but that didn't happen, so we're still in a drought.
Congratulations on your husband starting his new job. I'm sure the insurance will be a relief to you.
