This is the before picture
This is my wife 'Rap' on our wedding day. (For my American friends the date is 8th June 2003...as we put the day before the month here)
(I have decided to delete the picture)
At this time she was able to walk (with pain meds) quite some distance before rest... say a mile.
She also held down a full time job.

This is the after picture.
Rap can no longer even stand. This picture is in the front room. taken 1/7/2008. (1st July 2008)
(I have decided to remove the picture... for personal reasons)
Sorry the picture quality is bad but it is a darkened room.
The period between the two pictures is just over 5 years

Bewolf, Rap is an incredible beauty, I am so sorry she is no longer able to walk. This is a tradegy, may I ask how she went from walking to being bed ridden? She is so lucky to have a husband in you. I will keep the both of you in my prayers.
This is something I fear for myself as it gets more difficult to walk even with the meds. I am single and fear I will end up in a home of some sort.
Please take care of you both,
Kathy

Dear Beowolf,
I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to see the person you love suffer so much. What a terrible price she has had to pay in life yet, how fortunate that she has you by her side. You and "Rap" are both in my prayers.
All my best,
Diandra

What a difference - time has made and the toll everything has taken. The most important survives: Your love and commitment to each other. That's what's so inspiring. Bless you both.
Kathy, I share your fear. Fortunately, there are more options available to us than, say, 40 years ago, when fewer choices were even around. 5 - 10 years from now? Who knows? Maybe more living options will become available.
Anyone in their 20s? Hope for the best yet always plan for the worst. Plan early. That's my suggestion.
I didn't like hearing what my docs and others had to say, but, at some level, it did sink in.
