I have many strange Neurological disorders, I posted before and was sent back to the Celaiac Forum, I do happen to have Celiac and a host of other stuff, like Asthma , food allergies etc...
I was sent here from the Celiac Forum, because I was tested with some Genetic markers for I do not even know what.
I have numbness in half my face it comes and goes for about 4 years now, I had severe Migrains , but after prolonged treatment they are less.
I have tingeling in my legs and hands.
I am getting weaker by the day. I have Chronic, abdominal and joint pain.
I went to a Neurologist that said the numbness in half my face is not explainable.
I keep thinking I might have M.S ( I wonder what gene that is ) and what thread should I be on for genetic tests/
thanks

I just wanted to welcome you to our board. My problems all stem from spinal problems so I don't have any specific info that will help. I will offer that I hope someone here sees some of their symptoms that match with yours and give you some ideas. I know the tingling and numbness can be associated with spinal problems but your symptoms don't seem to match.
This board is focused on chronic pain and the treatments to relieve that pain. If you have any medicine or pain questions it would be more likely one of us could help you.
welcome to the forum, i think this forum catches alot of people from other forums one because we deal with pain and pain seems to be a companant of alot of other issues , mind altering pain issues, it is a great outlet for the issues we all deal with on a daily basis , the thing we seem to share in comon is alot of joint pain and mine is from psoriatic arthritis (mostly) i do hope someone will come along and be of help but like mark i wanted to say welcome ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Dave ,,,,aka,,,,,,911

I do have Chronic back pain from an injury many years ago. I do not know why my doctors never took an x-ray, they did a MRI but they said all is normal strange thing is that they never took the lower part of the back ( that is where my pain is( and the neck). After3 years of treatment I usually was in level 9 pain they sent me to the Surgeon, He said" Surgery" and i said goodbye.
Now My new doc says it is NOT cyiatica but muscular...Huh My whole life I was told it Cyatica Pain radiating into my leg and tingeling all I remember that my old Doc said when it gets to be in both feet then I am in danger, I don't know og what , but to skip forward, the thing that is going on today is mostly that half my face is numb and that it feels awkward. I do not excersise much so the lowe back pain is less. But if I do make the wrong move than I am in extreme pain. I seem to find many things that I have in commen in this forum I just need to figure out my way about . thanksMark and 911 I hope that i can get an answer about the PN.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
I hope you have a primary care doctor who is helping you make sense of all the info/medical tests and navigate the medical system.
You certainly have a laundry list of symptoms and I know sometimes when that happens you get sent to so many different doctors and many different tests....you really need a primary care doc to pull it all together for you.
I had a constellation of symptoms many years ago and went from doctor to doctor for over 2 years...I had sudden onset migraines, stiff neck and pain, brutal low back pain, profound fatigue and tons of joint pain and neuropathies(especially in the face), jaw pain like a toothache, trouble thinking clearly, trouble sleeping and alot of other symptoms that no one seemed able to explain. Your facial numbness that the doc said could not be explained is what made me think you should look into researching Lyme Disease. That is what I had. I am not saying you have it but, you mentioned MS and all these other symptoms that made you suspect MS, just thought you may want to research it a bit. MS and Lyme Disease have alot of symptoms that are similar( and so do Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc).
Here are some common symptoms of Lyme Disease:
• Fatigue
• Low grade fevers, ‘hot flashes’ or chills
• Night sweats
• Sore throat
• Swollen glands
• Stiff neck
• Migrating arthralgias, stiffness and, less commonly, frank
arthritis
• Myalgia
• Chest pain and palpitations
• Abdominal pain, nausea
• Diarrhea
• Sleep disturbance
• Poor concentration and memory loss
• Irritability and mood swings
• Depression
• Back pain
• Blurred vision and eye pain
• Jaw pain
• Testicular/pelvic pain
• Tinnitus
• Vertigo
• Cranial nerve disturbance (facial numbness, pain, tingling,
palsy or optic neuritis)
• Headaches
• ‘Lightheadedness’
• Dizziness
light sensitivity
sound sensitivity
Here is a website if you want to learn more:
www.ilads.org , then go to the left of home page and click on "treatment guidelines" and then click on the 2nd document by Dr. Joseph Burrascano called "Diagnostic Hints and Treatment guidelines ....." Dated Sept 2005
I hope you find some answers...I know how frustrating it is.
Also, it is a bit frustrating learning how this forum works but stick with it and keep playing and you will get it. Everyone is very tolerant of errors because we were all new once too. There is a section where you can ask technical questions like, how do I do this or that.
Take care and Happy July 4th.

P.S. For help using the forum go to the top of this page where it says, " BrainTalk Communities > Specific Neurological Conditions (A - L) > Chronic Pain
nurological disorders I am new plz hlp "....click on where it says "Brain Talk Communities" and then click on the section that says "Help DesK" and that is where you can ask questions about using/navigating the forum.
