Has there been anything on this med in the news . I thought I had heard something about it. Maybe not . thanks

I believe there was something on the news about it, but I can't remember what it was!! You might try going to CNN or FOX and search.

The only thing I know about it is if you're going to have extensive dental work, you cannot take it. But that's not what was on the news, I'm sure. Wish I could help. Good luck. Lee ;)

Rozia, I know that my Mom's cardiologist took her off the Fosamax after she had a heart attack. The internist agreed and has told her NOT to take it due to Atrial fibrilation (sp).

Next time she goes to the doc, I will ask him his rationale and I am sure he will stay with his decision. I was taking Actonel, but it was having major problems with GI upset and had to stop it.
