...and a hubby in agony makes for a crazy week!!! I'm just so glad this dang surgery is over. I get to sleep in tomorrow, too--thank God--but he also has another appt (follow up) that I get to drive 25+ miles to, not something I'm used to doing. No rest for the weary...:o

for getting her license! It took me a few goes ! Strangely enough, the driving conditions were the worst I'd had in both previous attempts at the time I finally got it - go figure!

I hope hubby gets better soon. It is probably just a waiting game now. I'm sure you will be fine driving him to his appointment, so don't worry :p:D!

Hey, Good Peoples. :)

Had the optham follow up today. Don's eye looks about like it did at day 3 or so of his last procedure--not anywhere near as gory as I thought it would be. He can see light out of it and isn't experiencing any more severe pain, just some mild discomfort. We go back Monday for another check and may know when he can go back to work.

Caren is off to the beach with about half a dozen of her closest friends , and Drewy has a nasty tummy bug. :( No fever, chills, or soreness, so I think it's just a viral thing.

I loved the conference, as always. :) I wasn't asked about Gina, but a couple folks knew and comforted me when I had a couple of tough moments. There were also some amazing testamonials from some kids and adults who have been through a lot and have inspiring courage. :) I was also able to help some folks. :)

Word is that the next one will probably be in Boston!! :D I told Dory (exec dir) that Greg Tocco www.hydrocephalus.org and I will twist her arm 'til she makes it official. ;) :D It'll probably be known in a couple of months.

i'm glad the surgery went well too, i had a scary experience trying to get laser surgery 2 years ago and my eye kept popping the suction off, doesnt sound bad but was horrid and my eye was tore up for weeks and couldnt proceed with surgery...thought about what if i lost sight after, and that's a scary thought! My prayers to you all! and nat, it took me a couple tries to get my license too :P
