Hi,

My family and I live in the Maritimes in Canada. Last September my father was diagnosed with Central Nervous System Lymphoma after having fluid taken from his eye.

It seems like the doctors don't know much about this type of cancer, or if they do, they aren't telling us. My family, particularly my mother, is having a hard time with this diagnosis. She is the type of person who likes to know what is going on every step of the way but so far the doctors are saying much, that is until Friday.

You see, Friday a palliative care doctor started coming to the house to see dad because he is having a hard time moving around. Dad has swollen up dramatically. Dad's abdomen has ballooned out. The palliative care doctor thinks the cancer has gone into Dad's abdomen.

I was wondering if there was anyone here going through a diagnosis of brain cancer, particularly central nervous system lymphoma? Would really like to hear from you and your experiences with this. If you live in Canada that would be great, too. Just need someone who knows what we are going through and can relate.

Thanks,

Robert
