lumbar punctures

Does anyone understand lumbar puncture results?
I had one to test pressure build up because of headaches (i have chiari malformation) anyway i was told my result was 25.3
First the pediatrician said it wasn't high then he got the results out and said.. "oh 25.3 thats abit high"

And thats all i know :confused:
They asked if i wanted to have another one but i said no.

Saw your post as I was brousing. I have acquired chiari due to chronic csf leaks. Here is a general link about LP results:

Normal pressure is either reported in mm or cm. Normal is 70-180mm
or 7-18cm. 25.3cm would indeed be high or 25.3 mm would be very low. I'm assuming it was 25.3 cm or 253mm if the doc confirmed it was high.
