Does Age Make a Difference?

Hi guys, do you find the age of people affects their attitudes to Moebius? For example, I feel a lot of younger people I know [15-18] seem not to take to me so well at the moment and I feel lonely and rejected. Do you guys feel that way, when you were younger was it more difficult to make friends than it was now?

15-18 year-olds are commonly like that. People that age are very much into looks and popularity, and not very much into real meaningful things like common interests and all that. As people age though, they start to mature, and soon they'll hopefully look at you differently.

I think that people with disorders and disabilities, like us, mature faster. When our normal friends care so much about looks & popularity, here we are trying to find friends with common interests....who cares about that guy over there who is the most popular guy in the school. He's probably a jerk. He's probably running after a cheerleader, asking her out for a date.

There are some kids in school that are real down to Earth. When I was in high school (1988-1992), there were some nice kids. But most of them didnt really wanna hang with you much...just a 1-5 minute chat, then a bye. I loved those chats. I was sorta a loner in high school, so those chats, those little itty bitty chats, brightened up my whole day. "Yay!! She actually talked to me, yayyy!!!! WOOHOO, I feel popular now!!!" So embarrassing now that I look back... :)

well I don't think maturity comes with age really at all. I am only 17 and yet i am very mature for my age (say what you want) I think it just comes with how the person views things, or has been treated or w/e. For example if you have a 50 year old barbie doll with a rich husband w/e shes likely to be plastic (what more can you say) WHERE AS - you could have a 13 year old that has been abused and everything and still has a tough and a great attitude towards things. It veries as you can tell..

for example, I know a few people aged 21-36 who are VERY imature! bad mouthed and think they know everything! but that is why you shouldn't care what others think, I know I knoww its hard but its the only thing you can do, because people are all ****'d in some way or another
