Lets Rebuild Our Chatroom

Hello everyone, my name is Shown and alot of you that visit the chatroom recognize my name or remember me. During the time when my hubby was really sick I would come to chat for support. Over the past year I have visited the chat like alot of you and would find myself there all alone.

Well I was on yesterday talking with Lor and told her that others have found the same problem so together we are going to try to work on this, I really miss the support.

Monday - Friday I work and I plan on trying to be online during my hours at the office. So please feel free to come in and chat. This is our second day and I have talked to several people I havent seen in awhile.

We've been waiting for a chat update for over a year now. When the site was updated last yr., things started getting worse in chat. That's why Mike decided to get his temporary chat working again. His site has the latest version, which we hope to eventually see on BT. It would be nice to see the chatrooms back in order.

I stopped into the chat room a few times today, but didn't catch anyone there. I will keep trying.. as it would be nice to get the room up and running again. A place where people could stop in and chat, have a few laughs, and make connections again with people who understand what we all go through..

Clouds, Do you mean 8:00am today? Anyway (& it's true) my laptop for some reson can't get the net. It's the only wireless one that is used alot. I have to wait for my dh to come home to see whats wrong with the router. But this one wasn't picking up the net either????? My kids' comps are (upstairs). But I clicked a couple things on this old comp & it started getting the net???

We've been waiting for a chat update for over a year now. People haven't been using the site chat much, because of the boots and lags.

In May, Mike Weins posted that the temporary chat room (http://www.thunder65.com/btchat/index.php) was back up, but it hasn't been getting used. :( People can't see who's in there on the forum home page, but they can see by keeping the Who's in the chat? (http://www.thunder65.com/btchat/info.php) window open in a tab, or adding a bookmark link to that page in a browser.

Hopefully the site chat will be updated one of these days. Until then, Mike's site has the updated version, and is available.

Lor, it is clear people are trying to use Chat. I go, try to get in, some times I can get in and others I can not. I go in and talk to my self at times no luck even trying to have converstaion with ME. Jo I shall return that is, when it will allow me to return *boogie

As Chat Moderator #1 on BT chat rooms, I have been on BT for almost 11 years. Been a moderator for about 8 years.
I am having withdrawal because we don't have a working chat room system.
The same things happen to me that happens to others. It takes me forever to get signed into FlashChat. And once I finally get in there, and no one there, I stay a while and talk to myself, which is not a great conversation, kind of boring.:rolleyes:
And before long, after a few lagging posts, then I get booted out. This is very frustrating and I can understand how people feel. :eek:

The last time (a few weeks ago) I asked John in a mod meeting if he could update the chat rooms, he told me that he isn't doing anything until he gets the email thing fixed.

And as far as I know, he hasn't been able to do that yet. He is very busy with his 'day job' right now.
But we keep hoping he will find time to update things and get our chat rooms going and I and the other chat mods who moderate will get back to feeling useful again.
John please help us soon.
