At my son's school (He is aged 12 so that is High school?) they have a 'Young Caregivers Support Group' where any child that has a disabled parent meet every two weeks during school time to socialise and go on trips etc.
I think that it is a brilliant idea. At his school there are 6 children that go to it aged 12 to 18
It shows that these children are not alone and are able to chat about problems they have or things in common etc.
Has anyone else heard of this idea?
Or is it just a UK thing?
