It's a long weekend and that's always a little tougher for us. But, Carly has had a good day today. We actually went out to brunch at a restaurant here in town. We sat on the back patio and Carly did so well. She loved watching the waitresses and was laughing a lot. She ate a ton.

Yesterday, we walked around town and as long as we were walking, she was fine. Inside the house was the problem, as usual.

Bar-b-q tonight. I have to get the dogs and chicken ready. I think I'm out of matches! Off to the local convenience store.

Well, we finally have nice weather here in Mass as you are well aware-yay!!
It's a quiet weekend for us. There's a lot of traffic here on the Cape so I am staying put. I might take Sarah out to lunch tomorrow at Seafood Sam's. She is also a fan of eating at restaurants. I've been planting flowers-morning glories are my favorite :)
Loving the warmer temps :)

Beautiful weather here today to with only 81 for a high! We were going to grill but had so much fun playing outside that it got too late for grilling so we're having sandwiches and ice cream instead! The grill will still be there tomorrow. :)

Great weather here today too, I think it is supposed to get up to 85 today!

We set our pool up yesterday so the kids are already begging to get in, my brother and his family are comming over to cook out. I keep waiting for my sister to come pick her kids up to spend time with them, but its almost 11 here and no sign of her. She should have been here at 9! So instead of relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet I will be playing referee....

As soon as my pasta salad is done I am going out into the sun for the rest of the day and I can't wait.

Wow, we had a storm last night. Pregnant dreams that I can't remember completely, but something about teenagers...not anyone in my family...and going to Milwaukee...and an upset Dad. Weird dreams. Not quite as weird as the dreams the other night in which Jimmie was a plant...but whatever...I am not sleeping well regardless. Then the storm hit. And Jimmie woke up soaking sopping wet. David stripped his bed and him. He screamed for Mama, so he got put in bed with me. Otherwise, it has been a nice long weekend. We went to sil's house yesterday for ribs and chicken on the grill. It was a long day but fun. I can't get Jimmie to sit down. He's pulling up on everything, which is wonderful, but I wish he would choose a few less precarious things to pull up on.

You dreamed he was a plant! That's great. LOL. Just water, put in a fertilizer stick now and then ...

We went to our town parade. Blink and you missed it. Carly is outside now with DH who dug up a rose bush and is replanting. Yikes - I'm not sure this is the time of year for that. I hear her yell now and then. Luckily we are in a small town and the cops know us. They know her -- they always say hi to her.

She didn't wake up until 6:40 today. But, I got her to bed later and so I went to bed later and I'm tired.

Loooong. The kids didn't have school on Friday. My plan to take a long walk in the morning to burn some energy was dashed when we stepped outside the house and smelled the smoke from the wildfires. I keep thinking we're at least an hour away from the fires, but I couldn't believe how strong the smell of smoke was. Anyway, I decided we probably shouldn't be out breathing it any more than we needed to. Tom went to play outside after lunch, and then came back in coughing for a bit. In the late afternoon, the winds shifted and we haven't smelled the smoke since. We opened up Dance, Dance Revolution to burn some energy. (Tom has no rhythm.;))

Tom was invited to a birthday party on Saturday for one of those miniature golf / video arcade / go-cart combination places. It's about 1/2 hour from here, so we took the whole family. Tom and I went to the party, and Mr. Kay and the girls went off on their own. It's amazing how all the loud noise and flashing lights can wear you out for the rest of the day.

Sunday started with a seizure. Ugh. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the smoke, or the flashing lights at the party, or if there was die-off going on. Too many unknowns. So, we kind of did nothing yesterday, and the kids were wild to show for it.

Today, I woke up to Samantha saying "Tom's acting funny." We brought him in bed with us and he seemed fine, just a bit cold. Later she told us his teeth were kind of chattering (did I mention cold?). So, no seizure, but nice to know she's looking out for him. We're trying to catch up on some errands. Mr. Kay and Tom both need haircuts. We did get in a walk this morning, and Mr. Kay took the girls for an extra mile. I'm looking forward to sending the kids back to school tomorrow.
