full moon and all?
Now it is back to the way it was? I never touched anything! It changed by itself?
I am sorry...It seems to be changing on other places I visit as well, I just checked. So I guess it is not the forum here.
You can delete this thread if you want, admins...:p
(I am running the new FireFox 2.0 BTW)

my Paint Shop Pro 9...
I am going to uninstall it and reload it. This happened right after I changed
my profile graphic.
We rebooted, and the font changes evaporated. And we just put in the new
FireFox this week too. Duh...?
Sorry to be a pest...I really thought our font was enlarged. It was nice while it lasted:p

Hmm didn't we have a vote prior to the crash about increasing the default font size?

It was pretty long time ago..tho as I remember. Right when this new
forum came along in Mar 04. John responded to requests to make the
font larger.
Perhaps the new FireFox has a keystroke shortcut to enlarge the screen, and I may have flubbed up my typing and hit it? (that is my husband's suggestion)..as I am having a carpal tunnel attack in my left hand now. I was wearing my brace yesterday morning.
But yes, I think enlarging it a bit, would be helpful, and perhaps a poll here
would reveal others of like mind?

Miss D--You can actually make your font as large--or as small  !--as you want, on your very own :)
Just go to "View" (next to Edit, on your toolbar thingamagic :)) and then go down to "Text Size". Once you get the text the size as you want, it'll either
a) do it automatically
b) be larger, or smaller, next time you "Refresh" a page.
Hope this helps. I have terrible eyes, and need large fonts myself--all that readin, ya know? :)

Ingwaz, I tried your method, and the only font size that changed on my screen were your "signature" quotes below the line. The text of the posts themselves did not change. I went from smallest all the way up to largest, and your signature quotes changed each time, but not the post font. I even refreshed the page, same result.
There are a number of ways to do it,
but just try pressing Ctrl at the same time as + or -
Ctrl +
Ctrl -
Ctrl 0 (zero) takes it back to where it was
or try
Ctrl and roll back and forward with the main mouse roller (not sure of technical term) at the same time.
Forward for smaller
Backwards for larger.

Control is in the lower left.... and I use the mouse wheel alot!
I bet my hubby was right..the brace hit the left hand control key!
It happened so suddenly, it caught me off guard!
Thanks all! :o

i keep waiting for someone who knows more about this to answer but it looks like they aren't going to. so here goes.
i can't tell you how to do this in firefox, i did use that for some things when i had 98 but i really hated it. now that i have XP i only use IE.
you can set IE to completely ignore the colors and font sizes that the web page is sending you. color flickers more than white, so i have all color turned off and all fonts turned off also.
if you go to Tools > Internet Options you will see a button towards the bottom right marked Accessibility. click on it and you will get a box for Formatting. there are three radio buttons to ignore colors, font styles, font sizes. click on all three.
i have not bothered with a style sheet, so i don't click on this. someday i will mess around with it.
then click on OK.
now still in internet options go to the Fonts button and choose a font. for the web page font i am using ariel black. this is what you will see all forum stuff in. for plain text font there are not many choices. this is what you see, for example, when typing in a text box, like when you are typing a reply to a thread. click on OK.
to change colors, click on the Color button. uncheck the Use Windows Colors box. then click on the text color, and you will get a choice of colors. i am using black. click on the background color and choose your favorite. i am using white. then ok and you are done.
now when you go to View > Text Size > Larger everything will enlarge except the type in the text box. and it will stick because you told IE to ignore everything the web page says and to use what you want.
you may need to refresh (F5) to see the change. some people may have to reboot.
sorry that these instructions are not very good. bobbi where are you?

Instructions are perfectly fine Annie, and what you said is what I did. Now on all forums I see Lucinda Sans Font and size larger. Simple as pie.:D
