What does your school's psychologist put on assessments, besides what they find by doing the tests and such that they do on kids?
Does any of your kids reports ever have suggestions to the teachers and related services workers on the best strategies to teach your kids, after they've done their testings? Do they make suggestions like what type of classroom, e.i. regular ed. class, or special ed. class, or small instructional classroom setting?

The school psychologists that I've worked with discuss these things with the parents and teachers during the mdt/iep meetings. Classroom type is usually discussed by the team during meetings, not recommended specifically by the psychologist.
As a parent, my little one is still pretty young and is severely disabled. So far her reports from the psychologists are pretty much just developmental assessments.

I haven't looked at Ri's last school psych. eval in a long time, but I don't *think* it has classroom suggestions. The private neuropsych did though. It was with the recommendations portion, he recommended the self contained class-at the time she was already in one- for Ri.
The one done by the school just gave the results of the testing that they did and gave her full scale IQ. the decision of placement came from the IEP team -which includes US.
Part of why we wanted a private eval (at our expense) was to get that kind of specific info, how does Ri best learn. That eval suggested how she would best learn (a multi sensory approach with intense repetition) it also gave her a dx of PDD.
I don't think we get to dictate exact methods the teachers use, or what programs -although I could be wrong- my understanding is that the IEP team is to write the goals and the teacher is to help your child meet those goals using her teaching experience and knowledge.
((hugs)) I know you are in a tough spot...
