hello everyone:

I haven't posted for a while, but I have been reading daily.

I had an "argument" with this guy at work today, he always talks to me and other people in a condescending way, and usually I don’t let it bother me, but today, I just had it, I gave him a piece of my mind.

But I am just thinking I can stand up for myself eventhough usually I am pretty passive, but at least when I am really fed up, I can. But what about Jake and other children like him who can not protect themselves. It makes me very sad to think that one day when we are no longer around or just not with him, he may live in fear or be mistreated.

I know there is no answer to my worry but any word of advise is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jenna,
Nice to see you. I know what you mean. I was teased when I was younger. My boys are bullied at school and they WONT stand up for themselves. They come home and tell me or the other one will tell me. The school thinks my boys are "so quiet and good" and that nothing is wrong.. BUT they dont see or hear what is happening. THEN the wonder why Noah doesnt play at recess and sits in class and helps the teacher or if he is MADE to go out to recess he hangs out with the TA..

It's so frustrating. I hope this is what you mean. Im glad you finally let him have it. I hold things in also (except with my ex :p).

Jenna, this is something I often think about.. I worry about how sebastian will be treated and if other's will care at all. I also worry about someone hurting him and him not being able to tell us.

This is the top of the list for wanting another child: Jimmie needs a sibling to be with him always, even after we are gone...so neither of them stand alone.
