where is the chat room for

Hello i was just looking at the chat rooms and i could not find encephalitis:confused: may be under a diffrent name? Oh and there is no-one there, maybe you should have times when people with diffrent problems can talk.

I posted this back in February on the Troubles with chat... (http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28745) thread.

Hooptedoodle is the main chatroom, and that's the first room you're in when you sign on. It has been the busiest room since the site returned in '06.

If more people were to use chat, to keep in touch with people on the forums they post on, there would be more rooms added. It's not necessary to add a room for each forum, if the rooms aren't going to be used regularly.

Thirteen of our forums have their own chatroom right now. Five of them were added since the site returned in '06, after ten people replied on a thread asking for a new room. The new rooms haven't been used very often since they were added.

Chat is in need of an update, and there won't be any new rooms added, until the update is done. You can always add a temporary room, by clicking on Add at the top, type the name of the room in the box, and it will appear on the bottom. The temporary room will disappear in 15 seconds, after the last person leaves the room. When there are people in the rooms, you'll see a number next to the room name.

Since this chat has been having trouble, Mike Weins added a temporary chatroom. If you'd like to use the temporary chatroom, you'll have to register on this page (http://www.thunder65.com/btchat/index.php). Once you're registered, you'll be able to log in (http://www.thunder65.com/btchat/flashchat.php) and use it.

how come there is that message automatically appearing when i enter the lounge in the temp. chatroom ??? i did not type anything at all ? is it normal ? i was alone in there, but same thing happened the other day when someone was in there already :confused:

Lavandula Canadensis, that message was put there by Mike Weins who made the temporary chat room for us. It is normal for Mike to put messages there.

He does that to try to let people know what is going on.

John Lester has not had time to do the updates, etc. to get FlashChat rooms up and running again.
