i suggest a new thread, The Haiku Poem Café, in Artistic Expression and Therapy, under The Word sub-forum, to which we could keep adding... classical and modern haikus would both be welcome, our own, as well as the ones from our preferred haikuists... how does that sound ? :D

When I first got my new camera I was experimentint to see the
different effects of focal settings.

These long (5-7-5) and short (3-5-3) forms are the result of one set of
pictures:

Enlightenment path...
"What was that?" -- Sought for 10 years.
Now... to perfect it!


I had what the Tibetans call "extrordinary enlightenment"
i.e.; out of sequence. The insight came first followed by
my search.

summertime ennui
hot sun melts me-butterscotch
sweet golden pooled heat

rain on horizon
wet iris against red skies
salty rivers flow

sky scatters white shards
plasma lights the night to day
percussive replay

verses then flow forth.
