Hello everyone...update on Adam

Hey!! It's so good to be back at the old forum and to see so many familiar names. I hope everyone comes back to the board and soon!

Adam update:

Things are going well here. Adam turned five years old back in July, I can hardly believe it. He also started half day Kindergarten, which is going really well Adam seems to like it so far and he has a great teacher and therapists! Best of all he is home by 11:30 am and there's still plenty of time, most days, to get the rest of his therapy in!

We just got back from our "Wish Trip" to Disney World thanks to the Sunshine Foundation. We had a great time and Adam was a real trooper. It was so hot though, I thought by now the temp. would be cooling down a bit in Florida. It was nice to come home to our Fall weather in Kentucky! Here are some pics of Florida:

Adam's seizures are still running about one a day...we are on a light dose of Keppra and it has helped some. We go to the Neuro. next week so he may increase the dose. We all know it's pretty unrealistic to think we'll ever have complete control.

Once again, it's so good to see all our old friends posting!!

Relatively recently, the Troggs put out a new CD in coordination with REM. REM is out of Athens, Georgia. One of the songs talks about the heat / humidity in a sleepy little town and "it stays that way 'til the first of November." I'm not surprised by the weather at all.

How is Adam doing with the computer stuff at school? I was reading your previous posts. Jake also loves playing on the computer, we bought him this touch screen where it just gets hooked onto a regular screen, and he can use his finger as a mouse and point directly on the screen.

Jennifer, its YOU!!!!!! :D Welcome back Hon! I am so thrilled to hear Adam's doing great and liking kindergarden!!! OMGoodness he has grown since I last saw a picture of him! :D And Miss Emma, she too has grown and strutten' her stuff there in that picture! ;)
