that's amazing how this moonlight sonata, mouvement #1, helps me to at least relax a little bit... i should listen to it more often...

if you'd like to explore different versions of it on youtube, beware to check for mouvement #1 only... as mvt #2 & #3 are rather to wake you up in the morning... :D:eek::D

you will find different results when you search in english, in french, or in any another language...

these are good ones i also like... i find that watching the hands playing on the piano is relaxing...

Sonate Clair de lune 1er mouvement - Beethoven

this one is absolutely fantastic... this is my preferred one, well... equal with the one on the first post... but, compared to the other ones, you'll have to put the volume up quite a bit... everyone seems not to be using the same standards when recording or posting on youtube...

Hi Phyllis,

well... i hope that you didn't find these were so boring that they would prevent you from being able to fall sleep tonight...

do you think it would be a good idea to start another thread under Night Owls with another style of music that you like to listen to when you need a relaxing moment ? i'm sure that it would be visited much more often that this one...

however, i would be more than pleased to check it out !! :)

this is full moon... as one can see on this website:
Current Moon Phase / Lunar Phase / Moon Calendar

Phyllis,

i know that you like country music... and as i said... i'm quite sure it would be visited much more often than one on classic music...

during a few years... looong time ago, i was doing ballroom and latin dance... and that's when i discovered that so many beautiful dance pieces were in the country music repertoire... like the relaxing and so gracious american great waltz (romantic slow dance) :p it's too bad i can never remember titles unless i do a search on youtube...

Phyllis,

yes, i learned that... by coincidence, tonight... that this person is much more loved that she would have thought she could ever be... however, not very many ppl share my musical tastes... which very much vary depending of the moon phases... as do everything else in my life... *ack

there's also another thread on the moon phases that was started on The Lighter Side forum : The Moon influence - Full Moon - New Moon

Phyllis,

lets not put ourself down like that because we're night owls... there will always be some ppl who will try to make us feel bad or cheap because we don't have the same natural biological clock as they have... in fact, i'm a mix breed of night owl and early bird... depending on the moon phases and the weather... *ack

while one side of the planet is sleeping... the other side is working... or trying to have fun...

there's always someone online (as we can both observe on the who's online list)... as long as we get the sleep we need... nobody should to complain... i agree that might not be easy to live like that when living with someone else... the problm with me is that i don't really get all the sleep i need, even in broken sleep pattern... *ack

this is why all the little tips everyone has experimented are good to share, as they can be useful to someone... :D
