this is really cute!

evoked image of a bluebird chirping away hungrily at your window ...

thanks waves...
that's what haiku poems are... evoking images... in 3 short verses... in the modern version here...
as opposed to a picture that is worth 1000 words...
Have a wonderful day ! http://bestsmileys.com/sun/4.gif

Lavandula,

that one gave imagery instantly, though many birds with blue (here) thus my alarms were plentiful if not a little bit noisy.

HowdyDave once tried to get a few of us doing these, harder than they first appeared, or so I thought; I could be toadily oblivious ;)

thank you for sharing :)

Hi Toad, and waves,

thank for your words of appreciation...

yesterday, i just started to read a few pages of "So...we have a Rabbit, a Toad, and a LIZARD" on the Epilepsy Forums... amazing work, clever and hilarious... i can definitely say that many people there are very talented... more than it takes to do haikus... once you know how they work... the classical version might sound a little more difficult, but it easy and fun, and very therapeutic, to do it the modern way... like it is with all forms of Art... :D

i suggest a new thread, The Haiku Poem Café, in Artistic Expression and Therapy, under The Word sub-forum, to which we could keep adding, like with the rabbit, toad, lizard one... classical and modern haikus would both be welcome, our own, as well as the ones from our preferred haikuists... how does that sound ? :D

Hope to meet many of you there :):o:D;):p;):D:o:)
