Hi everyone! Thanks for all you well wishes and kind words! I slept like a bear my first night home! I think Monday I did not listen to all your advice to rest and relax and sleep. I was so hyper... I think it is the steroids! I did laundry, cleaned the freezer, and just was zipping around my house like a busy bee all day! My boyfriend kept telling me to SLOW DOWN! My parents and sister-in-law came and brought dinner that night. The dogs came home from the kennel Monday... it was so so good to see them... I missed them so much! I have not slept that good the last 2 nights (I was not a good sleeper before the surgery). I am up every 2 hours, not in pain, but I just wake up, go pee, drink some water and try to go back to sleep. I have had a sore throat since Monday... I thought maybe it was from the breathing tube or from talking too much! I looked at my throat this morning and it is covered with white spots/ patches, so I think I have a strep throat. I called the NS office and they said to go to my primary care doctor today to be seen and get a culture. I am waiting to hear back from them. I am nervous about a post-op infection after having brain surgery, but I will get seen today and I hope given antibiotics. Other than that I feel great and I am still amazed at how smooth this surgery went.... I am so so lucky and blessed. Well, I am off to the shower to get ready to have my boyfriend take me to the doctor when they call. Everyone take good care/ talk soon/ bye for now... xox Linda *cg24

*boogie It is awesome that you feel that well, so soon!! *boogie
*happy I am so happy for you. You really should take it easy hun, you are not supposed to be lifting, straining, bending a lot... You still have brain swelling and should be getting good sleep. The brain needs sleep, even for healthy people. Please just give yourself a little more time to rest and heal.
I know you want to do everthing!! ;) I know it is hard not too!!! :p I paid for it a few times, I still do!! :o Take good care of yourself sweetie. I am just so happy for you!!!! :D
*smallrose I am so happy the surgery went so great and you are doing so well! I hope you don't have strep but, if you do the antibiotics should kick it out!!! ;)
If you continue to have sleep problems, you should call and tell your Dr. This is a common problem after surgery. You really do need your sleep hun, it is important for your brain. Take care of yourself!
After my rupture I had insomnia so bad, I had to go to a sleep clinic and take some med's. Now I sleep all the time, I guess my brain is trying to make up for lost time??? :p Mostly during the day?? Light is not my friend anymore! :D It hurts my eyes!! I am always in my "shades"!!! I am glad it's cloudy today!! It is thundering and sputtering rain a little here and there. We are supposed to get a bunch today & tomorrow. Usually Tornado conditions are always possible here! I love watching storms!!! I am a spotter and have a weather machine on my garage roof. :) I have some cool pic's when we drove right into the core of one going to the cabin. It was awesome, what a rush!!! :p
I have caught all kinds of colds or bugs when ever I have to go to the Dr's or hospital. I've had to take many antibiotics since my surgeries. I just got done taking some for a sinus infection.
I had to take a lot when I had to go to the dentist a lot too. :p
I am pretty much a mess :p I have other health problems too.
I hope you find out your results soon!! I pray it's not strep, and you are better soon hun. Please take it easy and keep us posted. I am so happy you are doing great!! You are still in my prayers. Love Tricia
*cg15 God bless you Linda.

Linda,
I went thru the same things you are describing, except buzzing around, I didn't do much of that. But sleep was a rare commodity for anything more than a few hours. Sounds like you are doing just fine considering what you have been thru. Heed the advice of the sage ones here, if you body tells you to rest - listen to it and don't over do anything, it is much too early. Next week you can get back to bungee jumping!

Linda,
My friend I hope you are feeling better and not getting sick, I think I kissed you in the hospital I have a sore throat to. Take it slow until you get stiches out I know it's tuff, but once dr says go. You can boggie all night. Yes I was up to 3 or 4 most every night to and I didn;t sleep during the day either. I'm just starting to go to sleep earlier now. I think because I missed so much sleep. How is the swelling doing and jaw? I keep thinking of the vision of seeing you up so soon. What a great sight to see.We can compare stiches soon I like that idea.

Hi Linda,
Yeah, I think your adrenalin hasn't turned off yet. I would say slow down although
I to was guilty of doing the same. It's hard to not do the stuff that you feel you need
to but caution on the slow side for now.
How you feeling today? :)donna
