Some of us use the technique of Daily Affirmations to help improve our outlook, our daily life, and in the long term, our self esteem.

Basically when you get up, go in the bathroom and look at yourself, you go through a sequence of sayings, of statements that affirm your being in a positive way....

It is hard to do this at first... often it feels silly... i have to admit i have rarely done it. At times i have, on the bust - my affirmation - not daily then, was over a mistake i had made. and i kept repeating to myself, "even good engineers make mistakes. you are a good engineer."

Some daily affirmations, very general are:

I am a beautiful person.
I am a serene being, and can center myself at will.
I am accepting of my mistakes and those of others, as part of our humanity.

These are just some examples i tossed out... any more? Any of you use this technique?

waves,
Thank you very much for sharing this very intimate part of your life with us... :)

I have also been using that technique for many years... and it is very powerful when it is used daily... with positive words... once I introduced myself to this technique, I felt I became a limitless being, no matter what my physical limits are... I started to get a totally different outlook on life...

My affirmation sentences are in French, but here is one of them I just translated for you. I will post some other ones later...

I AM LOVE / EVERYONE IS LOVE
I AM LIGHT / EVERYONE IS LIGHT
I AM GRATITUDE / EVERYONE IS GRATITUDE
I AM ENERGY / EVERYONE IS ENERGY
I AM HARMONY /EVERYONE IS HARMONY
LOVE !!! LIGHT !!! GRATITUDE !!! ENERGY !!! HARMONY !!!

cannot say whether what I do is along those lines, I think so though...

everyday is beautiful, as can be anyone.

treat all those you meet far better than expected in return; no preconceived notions.

Forgive my shortcomings; they are not by choice.

A rough day is nothing more than a place to start.

thank you both for sharing ;)

I want this day to be a wonderful day,
no matter how I feel when I wake up,
no matter what happens on my journey.
Thanks for the best!
