poem: OCEAN SINGS

~ OCEAN SINGS ~

Old as creation but new as the rain
Cool and refreshing or cold with disdain
Exquisite beauty and raging typhoon
Astrally linked by the light of the moon
Natural mother and queen of caress
Softly she whispers, destroying distress
Inspiring life with her supple embrace
Nymph of devotion, conception of grace
Galloping waves thunder over her girth
Summoning Venus to reign over Earth.

Todd - three ways? i just read the poem upwards and see that indeed it "works" that way too - unintentional quite!

I have not specifically written any 3-way poems, i could try. Much less a cross-lettered palindromic poem (or palindroem as i call them). Palindroems are the two-way poems that can be read upwards or downwards, but the lines have to match... the meaning may not, indeed often does not. I'll find a link to Punya's original and palindroems and post it for you, to illustrate better. nothing like an example!

I wrote one, or attempted when i discovered them, but i have not posted it anywhere - unworthy. i think when i mentioned it over in the E forum i was misleading/ambiguous as to one of my posted poems being such.

But i am QUITE amused at YOUR discovery that, while this is not a palindroem, indeed this poem works three ways :D lol! Thanks!
