~ White Fever ~

A virulent vision, cloaked, bristling bright
With a million lumens, comes closer in sight;
From a byzantine orb beams a face of delight
That seductively smiling says all will be right.

But this white fever feeds her with dreams that invite,
Tempt her and tease her:- "Come flee through the night!"
So her spirit is seized, and her passions ignite
As she flitters away with her fantastic sprite.

a manic mental luminescent foray of insight,
in sight of a seeming face in an ornate light

Waves, this is just beautiful. How I wish I saw such wonderful things as you do! Were you scared when this "Nymph" came to you? I think I might be :o

This really reminds me of W.B. Yeat's early work....It's fantastic. I wish I had more words to say about it...sometimes we need a break from this hectic life...what a wonderful "daydream", of sorts.

Todd, thank you... i think the funny pages have expired :o but will see you anyway :)

Liadian, at first ... rather than scared, perhaps "electrified" oh, pun perhaps, as the byzantine orb was an actual light fixture about the size of a pumpkin... it had acquired a face and "come alive" enrobed and making rounds ... paid me a visit in my room ... but the presence was all positive energy, mischief, laughter, ecstasy... again, only a mind in flight. (and, to the extent described here, a rare occurrence for me, also.)

Thank you so much for such a gracious compliment!

hope to see you soon :) with more writings of yours.
