View Full Version : My works
Liadian of the Trees

I do write quite a bit of "poesie"...not quite poems, having no said beat, but a rhythm, hidden, maybe...thought snippets.
I write them mostly on the topics of nature and of human nature. I started writing love poetry--little random things I'd sneak under the pillow of my boyfriend, now my close friend, but nothing more. He was always very gentle with my poetry--he is a very caring person and he's really the only one who has seen my work in real life.
But I would like to share some poesie here. I write--for me,--for therapy. I want something I can look back on and feel the same emotion that I tried to capture when I originally wrote this....so I write very little about my actual conditions.
I do hope this isn't against the regulations, or that maybe you won't enjoy them....I hope you do. They don't have a set "sound" to them...they are to be read aloud...slowly...and then thought upon.
But enough dribble drabble, eh?

Goldendale
The lonesome furnace:
A lone tree bears no fruit
Except a silent crow.

The Pesticide Affect
red, deviant skies,
burning vaporessence
above the unnatural apple trees

End of an Era
O, Yakima!
How I long for your warm, sage hills!
I’d cover up in your wheat-fields
Like a lost child, found again amongst
Your beautiful golden pear trees!
The smell of the produce stands and
The immigrant workers’ sweat and cherish—
To be cut down like the dead apple-woods
And found again in a Mexican’s hands:
Strong but unforgiving,
Then thrown away
A rotten vagabond am I, searching for
Foreign lands I no longer know!
That I crave the heat-bands, rising
In columns
From the dead grounds of Goldendale,
Passing further and further away from you, O, Home; O, Yakima!
My family’s home, my abiding place; my childhood skies:
I look for you, but you have gone before me
And I am so lost without you, my friend.

foolish
landing, the crow danced,
blissfully,
until the frog in his beak
jumped out.
Surprise!
***
reruns
the clown’d face wife
disappears into the kitchen,
Realizing who was right, after all;
I Love Lucy never fails to please.

the burn
sweltering,
my puffed skin bulges,
much like a frog.
***and my personal favorite...***
Reflect
after-gloaming,
the cicada hesitates:
a nocturnal intermission.

Looking forward to more of your Wordly Art!

Oh my, thank you, my friend! I am glad you enjoyed them. It's a relief that I can post things here that aren't related to my conditions, as well--I was worried about that. It's always nice to be able to "escape" my tics (I have Tourette's syndrome :)) and divulge into prose.
From the Tree to the Sea! We just came back from the ocean; we were whale-watching, but sadly, the fog came in....but because we get so much fog here, there are trees all down the cliff-side--almost like the trees are trying to go into the ocean.
Thank you, again, for reading my works :o I hope to see more of you soon!

Hello, waves! I am sorry it has been so long for me to respond. I've been having more and more sleep problems at night and if I'm not exhausted during the day, my mother or myself have doctor's appointments *ack
How are you, dear friend? I am very excited--I may have found my "niche" in life. I bought my first investment 3 days ago. He's a miniature flower! An African Violet. I hope that, when I am able to move out, to buy more miniatures and take care of them.
I'm very interested in "Christmas tree" bushes and "goldfish" flowers....Bonsai seem a thing a bit too hard for someone like me...Maybe someday I will learn the skills and have a nice, Bonsai/Buddhist mini-garden! I can dream, yes? ;)
Welcome Liadian of the Trees,
to a forum many call "home"; I do.
never stop dreaming, and it would seem, never stop writing. ;)
thank you for sharing and looking forward to your next.
