i heard this guy on thepowerhour radio show today repeets at night too and on shortwave joyce riley
shes a nurse
the meds they freely give are bad
Dr. DUANE GRAVELINE, M.D., talks about misuses of statin drugs
showing that the fact that statins lower cholesterol is incidental to the good they do for some with cardiac problems. Some mainstream researchers believe that the rush to lower everyone's cholesterol is terribly misplaced, not to mention the muscular damage statins can do.

Rose, I am glad to see you jumping in here with your usual straightforward comments. To keep my internist happy, I agreed to take one of the statins in a very low dose. It didn't do a lot, but my cholesterol is usually about 240 or below. She wanted it below 200, increased the dose and boy did I pay.
Every muscle in my body hurt and some even trembled with use. Now, she has me taking zetia and I'll have a recheck soon to see if it has done what she wants.
Years ago, I met a researcher at NASA who felt that fat was not the problem. Ultimately, he felt that sugar would be proved to be the culprit., raising triglyceride levels. Cheerio.
Last night I got around to reading LEF's articles about fish oil and Omega 3 oils (in their magazine a few months ago, I think) in general. Always informative and well referenced. I knew fish oil was great, but apparently the type of oil is being found even more important than previously known.
Type of fat (sufficient fish oil and DHA) is so important. Cholesterol, triglycerides, cancer, mood, etc. More Omega 3 and no transfats.
Good to see you too, Tootsie. :)
