Well it started when we walked in that the court reporter and the VE (Vocational Expert) said the judge was in a good mood and that he had already approved some cases!! And I said lets hope the streak continues. She (my attorney) said the judge said something in the begining that gave her the idea that he would approve it and that he was just saving his hide from getting the case passed back to him again. He asked if there was new evidence and she said that I was going to be seeing a neurosurgeon on May 5th and he said he would give her a month extension. Then he started asking me questions like what grade I finished school, if I cook (I told him I only cook simple dinners and that the boys fend for themselves for other times). Asked if I can sweep and vacuum and I said NO. He asked why and I said hard to sweep and mop and hold a walker or do it with balance problems and pain in the back. He asked other questions also then asked the attorney if she had questions. SHE asked the deeper questions like about my bladder/bowel problems and about my hand issues (she knew the judge had had a stroke and had limited hand issues and so could relate to hand issues). I told them about how like when the boys throw my keys to me I cant catch them because of limited feeling or sensation in my fingers and hand and how I tell them they have to PUT the keys IN the palm of my hand for me to get a grip on them. How I have to have Nathan or Caleb open jars for me etc. Then after all the questions, the judge went over what THIER doctor said I can and cant do (mostly cant) with the VE and asked him if there was any job listings that I could do... The VE said.... "NO, No jobs your honor." I THEN breathed a sigh of THANKS to the Lord!! That pretty much sealed the decision!!! The judge then told us he would go over the records and send us his decision. I was HOPING he would make his decision to me today but my attorney said he NEVER does that.. I will email her and ask if she thinks he will wait for the 30 days he gave her or if she thinks he will let us know before then. THO Im STILL PRAYING because who knows with this judge.. LAST hearing (3 yrs ago) he took a YEAR to send us his decision!!! I hope this one is SOOOOOOOOOOONER!!!

THEN.. I took Adam to the podiatrist today to take care of an ingrown toenail he has had for probably a year. I keep forgetting it because its not my foot and I dont see it because its in his shoe. He wouldnt LET me do anything. He had it treated with antibiotics back in Oct. and then again last couple weeks with a referral to the podiatrist that sees everyone in my family. He saw him today. Adam kept saying the doctor wasnt going to touch his foot. Well we got there and Adam started freaking out. We told him it was going to be either there today or in surgery but that would be with IV and gas mask (which Adam HATES). He still freaked a bunch to the point Dr. H said never mind we'll do surgery and Adam said NO NO NO, I'll try it now. Well to make this as short as possible.. Adam WAS BRAVE and with me holding both his hands and Nina (the nurse, receptionist etc) helping Dr. H, Adam DID get it done!! . Dr. H took out a HUGE piece of nail embedded in his toe. Adam should feel better soon. He now has a big bandaged toe. He gets out of PE on Friday. .
