Hello everyone,
It is Saturday. ALL are welcome. All are encouraged to post. No problem is too insignificant. Please stop by and say hello.
Addiction is a hideous disease. We care and we understand. Many don't. That's why we have an Addiction Forum!! I've actually seen it called a character defect. Well, if addiction is a character defect then ALL cigarette smokers have a character defect. Nicotine is a drug and is addicting. I smoke and I am addicted. God know's I wish I could quit. I have COPD and have to take asthma medications. Problem is....I thoroughly enjoy smoking.
People don't start taking drugs with the intent of becoming an addict. Before you know it, the drugs take over and you are on a maintenance only regimen, keeping withdrawal at bay and or chasing that first high.
Do yourself a favor. Watch some of those coroner show's. Dead is dead. Please do yourself a favor and give yourself the gift of LIFE!!:):)

I am not feeling well today. My pain levels are up. I have already been back to bed once. I wish I didn't know what chronic pain was. It would seem that spring is finally here and that means (drum roll) YARD WORK!! I have to take the mower and have the blade sharpened and do some trimming and raking....as much as I hate winter, I prefer cooler temperature's.
This summer, it will actually be hotter at midnight than at noon!! I know I know, complain complain. On a better note, there is nothing better than a home grown Illinois tomato!! My mother will have lots of home grown vegetables....and so will I!!
I haven't really looked much but I would really love to find a good church. I would love to get involved in bible/prophecy study. I'll tell you, after you've been judged time and time again, you just say forget it!! I do try and watch christian programming on Sunday but even much of that leaves a lot to be desired. Say what you will but I still believe Tammy Faye Bakker Messner was a true Christian. I will always love her. She loved and did not judge. I most certainly do believe Jerry Falwell did lie. He was hateful, judged and was mean spirited. BUT, only God knew his heart.
I don't mean to be political at all and I certainly don't wish to risk the rath of the moderators but my Aunt actually thinks Bush is a Christian!! I say this not out of blind opinion but because I have studied the subject. I mean no offense to anyone and certainly apologize in advance. I know what strong emotions this can evoke.
For those in the United States, before we are religious or non-religious or democrat or republican or anything, we are Americans first!! As you can tell (as with most of us) I have a lot of strong opinions). I don't believe I've crossed any lines.
One GOOD thing about summer? I will be able to go to the park. I love feeding the ducks. I can get them to come right up and take bread right out of my hand....they even steal it from me!! I have plantar fasciitis so walking any great distance is difficult but I do try and do some walking.
