Hello-- My BF is getting bone flap replacement surgery on Friday.....I kind of want to know what to expect and hear some of your experiences with this. He's had the flap in his stomach about 6 weeks and has had to wear a helmet when out of bed (which he never does). Anyway, I cant find anything online that talks about experiences and after care. Will he be able to stop wearing his helmet right away? Thanks all!

Hi, I'm sorry that I can't help you with this question..I don't know too much about it..I just wanted to say, I hope all goes well on Friday. If I'm not mistaken, Bob Woodruff, the newcaster, had this same surgery, I just remember part of the story..he was in a bombing overseas...and he had a part of his skull put in his stomach while his brain healed..then had it put back..you might want to look his name up on the internet, and see what it says..I hope I got his name right..I just remember seeing only part of the story..
But, please come back to the site if you have anymore questions...I'm sure someone might know more than me..take care
