I just scheduled my brain MRI for Friday afternoon. It's to see if the "damage" to my brain from the MVD is gone. It's been 10 months. I pray that at least that is gone for the most part!
I go back to my fabulous surgeon on the 16th for a follow up. I want him to read it and I want him to know how bad my experience has been. Even if he doesn't care, I want him to at least know.
So wish me luck that at least this part is better! :o)

Stephanie, I hope that you get some good news from the MRI, and some satisfaction from the surgeon. I suppose it would be impolitic to ask him if he dropped you on your head, or went out for lunch during surgery, or any of the other questions that must come to mind when you're feeling snarky. (Imagine having a job where you can just ignore or walk away from your results.) Good luck. Nancy

Hope that MRI gives you some peace of mind. It is fairly unusual for a surgeon to admit a mistake. A bad reputation can cost them their insurance coverage, not to mention a stampede of patients in the opposite direction, so I don't think you will get much satisfaction there. Nevertheless, you are entitled to answers and a very big apology...will you get it???? I doubt it. You'll have to find your satisfaction elsewhere. Possibly a letter to the AMA? Here's how to file a complaint. (http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/5105.html#file_complaint) Good luck Stefanie. It's time for you to have some!
