Rituxan is a type of chemo that suppresses B cells and has shown encouraging results in a small study at UCSF. My neuro is excited about this as a viable treatment, and thinks Rituxan will be available for MS treatment within a year.

So, here's a press release from UCSF.

I think I'm a little 'more excited' about the modified form of Rituxin that is mention...ocrelizumab! Getting better to me, means avoiding those nasty side effects!!! :o

I had 2 infusions of Rituxan a couple of years ago. My neuro was and still is excited about it. I'm sad to say it did nothing for me though. Neither good or bad, but we are all different and I hope that it helps others.

Yeah, I'm with you! All we can do is wait and see, and pray that the clinical trials continue to show promise. Have you heard of RevImmune? This sounds like something I want.
