Please list the name brand medications you take that have generic versions which work for you as well as the name brand. Let's remember that this is anecdotal information that is individual only and may not work or be appropriate for everyone. Please stay factual and save negative feelings and philosophies for a separate thread. Please add how much money generics save you per year. My wife and I take generic:
Fosamax
Prilosec
Protonix
Zestril
Dyiazide
Monodox
Flonase
Zoloft
We save $800 a year in pharmacy co-pays. We also save $100 a month on our health insurance premiums by carrying a generic only pharmacy rider. $2000 per year savings which would be a $20,000 savings over 10 years. Not bad. I do take Lamictal and there is no generic yet so that runs a $50 copay each month instead of $5.
