I lost my mom suddenly on january 31/08. She was a great lady and I miss her so very much :(
I have just graduated from my university program. I sat through my ceremony with tears of absolute grief because I wished that she could be there to see. My husband and two of my 3 children were there cheering me on, but her voice of encouragement and pride were dearly missed.
I fondly recall the last day that I saw my mom before the accident. She was wearing her white t-shirt and beige pants, and her hair was curled. I hugged her more than usual that day, as if somehow I knew it would be the last one. She told me to give the girls (her three grandkids) a kiss and tell them she loved them. As I left the driveway, she waved good-bye and blew me a kiss then she wrapped her arms around herself indicating that she was getting cold then went back in the house.
I love you mom.

I am sorry of your dear Mom's passing. Your Mom was there with you in your heart, spirit and mind. I am sure she is smiling down on you and always will. It is very hard, we think our parents will go on forever. Keep the good memories forever close to you. It helps and give yourelf the time to greive. Again, I am sorry for your great loss.

Thank you for your kind words Gumby, I think that knowing she is there watching over my family is the only thing that gives me comfort at times.

Dearest Nurse ~ I know this is a few days late, but please know my thoughts are with you.

First, let me congratulate me on your graduation. That is quite a feat when you're raising a family and keeping a house, etc.

Secondly, I can ASSURE you that your dear Mother WAS with you dearheart. She was right there by your side when you received your degree, and had a beautiful smile on her face. You know too that she was so very proud of you!!!! Did you feel a warmth about you during the ceremony? Or perhaps a bit of a breeze against your face, whether it was cool or warm? Did it seem to come at an odd time? Your Mom was there. ;)

We NEVER lose our loved ones really. They may be 'unseen' for awhile, but they are always with us. All we really need to remember is that we WILL be with them again one day. :D God bless you dearheart, and I pray that your heartache eases as time goes on. I too have lost my Mom (in 2003) and while I haven't stopped missing her, the pain has eased. Take care and again, congratulations. You have much to be proud of! Hugs, Lee
