The ongoing black hole abyss of workmen's compensation and compliance measures!

On Feb. 27th my lawyer informed me that WC had sent her a letter that they (WC Insurer) had not received any medical updates from my specialist (pain management doctor) who I see x2 a month. She (lawyer) had forwarded a requested evaluation to Specialist.

It is now April 4th -- the doctors office has NOT filled the paperwork out. I've seen this person twice and inquired and was told she'd complete when she had time. In the meantime we (my husband and I) will be on skid row next month -

I saw this doctor again on April 2nd and they still have done nothing to complete paperwork. My lawyer tells me there is nothing I can do, stating "many people go through this..." I'm not one to sit quiet -- short of requesting a fair hearing (which will get me no place) ...any advice??

This doctor will not release me back to work due to a diagnosed permanent injury and still under treatment since 2/07.

Im going to have to go back to some part time work to keep a roof - doing so may jeopardize any settlement as tiny as it could be and see my medical bills not paid. --Not to mention further damage I will do that goes against doctor advice.

Just amazing to me how messed up WC is. I can't even pick up pain medications now --I've been out for weeks and can't afford to pay out of pocket. *groan*

My husband wants to show up at doc office armed and see if they have a better understanding of how bleek they have made things!

Best -

I've been out for 3 months and have not received a dime.

My physician made a mistake on the c-4,indicating I was returning to work instead of taking me off of work.
They were good enough to correct it but I now have to wait for my next hearing to get closer to being paid.

If your Doctor is not filing any of the c-4's how is he/she getting paid?

I've decide to stay in tune with my case and filed an application for ecase through my States WC Board, this way I will follow what is happening and when it happens.

Good luck

You have to learn to play the game also. Just let your doctor know that you will report him to the Division of Insurance if he does not get your paper work turned in. This might help, because they can pull him from participating as a WC dr, he has to follow their guidelines.
