I am curious and wanted to know if you knew the answer to this.

Alot of the PPI's mention in the inserts "myalgia, muscle pain, joint pain" etc. Once again I wonder WHY this is. :) What is it about a PPI that can cause myalgia? I know some can or supposedly block nutrients, etc. But I am not deficient in anything...already been tested. I am just asking because I have had some bad thigh pain lately. Of course that can be related to all the spinal issues too or even bursitis which I have had before. And I know...trial and error. I could stop the PPI and see what happens...no biggie. I am just curious as to WHY these are listed as SE's. Is it a metabolozing deal again? I really like the Zegerid it is doing a great job so far. Just wondering. Thanks! Oops, forgot to add...I have been doing alot of EASY stretches too so that could be part of this too.

can raise CPK levels.

This PDF lists it as such:

I don't think this is common...I have never seen a patient with this complaint.

These medwatch reports don't have many reports of this either:

Thank you Mrs. D.

All I can say for now is that my creatinine tests have always been fine and while taking Nexium. I would think that will all the blood tests I have had recently that would have been picked up on. But I thank you. It is probably back to square one and more than likely spinal issues referring pain. :)

Creatinine serum levels measure kidney efficiency.

CPK measures damaged by products from muscle.

Many drugs may elevate CPK...sometimes it is benign (like with amoxicillin) and other times it is not (like with statins such as Lipitor).

creatinine and creatine are different things and often confused.
