Hello everyone. Thanks for understanding why I had to leave for a few. But that is not why I an here.

HELP PLEASE! I am not sleeping at all.I guess it has been over a month ago when it got bad bad. I can't sleep at night for the pain in my lower back. It is so bad that I cry from the pain. I am just about paralyzed by the pain to move to turn over. I know I have been over doing things and I was making the eggs and I think what really done it was the 5 gal of water. I have a 30 gal fish tank and 2 10 gal. Some how they went bad fast and I had been cleaning them. So caring the water back and forth not good. But I had to do it.
Back to my pain. It has got to the place the pain seems to wrap around. But when I am up and about I seem to be better. I can't lay down in bed for more than 3 hours. If I do I am dieing in pain. It takes all I have to get out of the bed. I sleep with the phone so if I can't I can call for help. It is that bad. After about 2-3 hour up the pain will ease. What is going on here? Any help here.

Thank you
Hugs
Deb

Deb I am so sorry. I have a similar problem with my lower back. I am counting the days until my ESIs. Is yours in the joints or does it feel muscle/nerve related. Most of the time I can tolerate it (barely) but it does interfere with my sleep, my moaning with pain every time I roll over wakes me up and yes laying in bed does make it worse. I have found that reclining is not as bad as laying. When it becomes intolerable all I can do for now is take something for pain but I only do that if it is bad. The rheumatologist said it is osteoarthritis in my sacral joints and pelvis. I have used an ice pack and put it at the very lowest point of my back, practically at my butt for awhile but I use a Gelpack because they are soft and can be sat on. Heat my help too, whichever works. Even if it is enough for you to get a couple hours sleep here and there. Do you have a lazy boy? Maybe try that.

I hope you get some relief.

Deb, Christina gave you all the advice I was going to give you so I will just say I hope you get your pain under control soon. When mine got really bad I found sleeping in my recliner helped me a lot.

Thanks I tried something last night. I have a air mattress and a hide away bed. So I blown it up and pulled the bed out. I got up today as I did when I went to bed. I didn't have the pain as I been having. I guess I have a new bed now.

Sorry to have brothered you all. Now back to my corner

Thanks
Deb

Deb, like Christina said, you are not bother. This forum is the only way some of us can help others and that is an important way to feel useful in life. I understand not being here as much but don't hide from us:).

Deb,

Awesome;):D...It's nice to hear you got a break from some of the pain. As the others stated, you're not a bother. We're all here for the same reasons, and we've all had those days where we feel like our conditions are hopeless, and our pain goes up and down like a roller-coaster from day to day and hour to hour.

Best wishes,
Kim

Deb,
When it gets like that for me I feel as though if I don't let others know about it I will literally lose my mind. Please always come and share. I want to know. When I know than I can pray for you. That way I feel like I am in some way reaching out to you in your pain. Please know that I care and I am thankful that you had some relief. May you have much more. AK

Sorry you are in so much pain -- I have been through those times and it is truly utterly unbearable.

My body goes into massive pain flares when I do just about anything - so I have become a very sedentary person -- very unlike the way I was before all this.

I hope there is a way for you to get some relief - whatever form that may come in.

Take Good Care-

Hi deb,
I sure hope you got some sleep,,I only know to well about not sleeping from back pain...It is horrible and you have my emphathy..I take phenergan when things just get to rough for me ( it make me very sleepy ) and able to sleep a few hours at one time...but then it is heck to get moving...I have OA in all levels of my spine..and never know which level I seem to agivate...Just bending over to pick up things makes my back feel like it is breaking in half- literally...My lower spine-coccyx seems to allways cause greif..and both my hips are allways hurting..And my husband and I , thought a pillow top would be the bed to get...NOPE...And we spent a cuople thousand for it with a 10 year warrantty..Now we do not know where to go or what to purchase..His back is very bad..He has a tumour that soon has to be removed or it could prarlyse him..( very worried about this recent finding ). But I do understand where you are coming from and if anything, You are not alone..Hugs Hun..Cindy

Deb,
Any spiney can understand completely how horrible it feels to be incapacitated by a flare, however it's caused. I'm with the recliner crowd. The only problem with the recliner is I usually wind up waking up too early. I have no idea why this occurs, it just does. It's strange because I'll fall asleep much quicker in the recliner than bed.

Pain free days,
Pete

Deb, it is good that the air mattress is working for you. I don't know anything about the mattress you are asking about. I hope the decision you have made is working for you as your previous situation wasn't good.
