Introduction

Hello everybody :)

My name is Mike Weins and I am the newest addition to the Administration team here at BrainTalk.

I admire what John has done with BrainTalk and am proud to be part of the team.

I have actually been a member of BrainTalk for a few years now and quite a few of you already know me as ZombieSlayer.

Yes I am ZombieSlayer and I will merge that account into this one so I will only be posting as Mike Weins from now on.

I will still check ZS's account (especially during the next couple of weeks) however.

by whatever name, you are definitely one of the best guys i know, and i am delighted that you are going to be one of the people in charge.

i think that any forum being envisioned by john and administrated by you and david and is going to be a place where i will want to be.

hope that everything goes smoothly for you. you have certainly been a tremendous help to me in the past, and i am glad that this means you will continue to be around to help me more in the future.

Yippee, yippee, yippee! This just makes my day/night. This is the best news I've read here since the return of BT. Thank you, Mike, for accepting this responsibility.

I've always considered you the voice of reason, a breath of fresh air, and "user friendly". :)

Congratulations on your appointment! I've always been very impressed not only with your expertise, but your ability to communicate/explain to techie and non-techie alike. :cool: I'm happy to see you putting that to use in an even more hands-on way, as I'm sure David and John are, too!

Technical Question: Oops! After I posted this I found it was already asked and answered (by none other than Mike/ZS, so I was at least asking the right person! ;) ) in another thread that I missed - sorry and thanks! It was about the disappearance of the domain name braintalk.org. I'm just worried that some folks may have been using it to get here and now don't know that BrainTalk is back (bookmarking or saving the link may not work for those using public computers, as I often do to check in when I'm away from home). It was a stretch for me to remember brain.hastypastry.net/forums to get here the first time I had to dredge my memory! :eek:

It's hard to forget a name like ZombieSlayer so I definetly remember you were always one that I could count on to get an answer from in olden times! Congratulations, and I think we hit the jackpot ourselves. Now all I needed was those pesky snowflakes as I just left another place I spend too much time at - Popular Front Snowdays. Will be returning there shortly to try and perfect my snowflake making skills :D !

Dear Mike,

Thanks for the warning about the SS Scam. Will be careful. Hope you don't have to ban me from the Parkinson's forum. Am quite controversial as I don't like the PAN advocacy group. I have had PD for 16 years. I don't like to raise funds on false premises as PAN has been doing for as long as I can remember. Keep the Faith.
