Hi - I just found the site - and was told to try the more active CP thread instead of the CMP thread. I have been suffering with CMP for 3+ years now. I have tried PT, accupuncture, TrP massage, rolfing, lidocaine injections & patches, cervical epidurals, chiropractic work, a cervical traction unit, moist heat...and drugs, drugs, drugs. I do get some relief for a couple hours....but nothing that lasts. I am going to try a gluten-free diet next.

Mine started in my left shoulder blade area. Then moved to my neck, other shoulder, down my back, and into my hip. My right hand and right foot sometimes get numb. I also have pain in some of my joints. It has moved my bones too - my shoulder blade, collar bone, and hips are all out of place. Has anyone had this happen?? It just seems to be getting worse and I am not sure what else to try. I am looking for someone with CMP to share info/stories with. Everything I have found on the web seems link CMP in with Fibromyalgia - and is more geared towards the Fibro side - which I do not have. Hopefully someone can help?!?:)

Welcome to our forum. I don't have any experience with CMP but do have plenty of experience with pain that doesn't stop. What has your doctor ruled out to come to the diagnosis of CMP. Those of us with spinal disease see some symptoms that would have us thinking about spinal trouble. I hope out members with myofascial pain answer your post and gives you some answers.

I see you've seen a chiropractor and had some kind of cervical traction, by that, I assume you have been worked up for cervical or thoracic spine problems. I used to have CMP really bad and was told it was related to my herniated disk in my cervical and thoracic area.

I would suggest that you see someone that would evaluate this possibility if you haven't.
Other treatment methods may be appropriate.
