Spring has come to the calender.....
I made it through another Winter...though I did look out my window and the back drop, for the pale pink blossoms, on my blooming Peach tree.....were snowflakes....large and floating ones......
The Earth is starting to have babies......
Something to look forward to....new Life in the abundance of Nature....
Happy Spring.....

Hi All,
Today is a wonderful day, My youngest son was born today 27 years ago.
I found out my Daughter will be having a baby girl some where around the 10th of June. This is great news, I have 4 grandsons I love so much and have been waiting for a girl, so fingers crossed the Dr. is right and we have a healthy baby. Girl or boy. But she did mark girl on the ultrasound. Yipppeee.
We will be hitting 62 today. but had frost this am.
I just had to share my news!!
Take care all,
Kathy:)

Kathy, congratulations on the news of a grand daughter [f the doctor read the scan properly].
It is spring here as we had a sunny warm day. I opened up the doors and windows to air out the house.

I as a beautiful day here today, it is still 63 out. I was hoping to play in the yard and some cleanup. But the mind was willing and the body over ruled it and you know who always wins:(.There is always tomorrow:). The guy who does my grass and some other stuff came over today to ask me what I wanted done this year. So we took a walk around the yard. I made a list and I am glad he is reasonable, cuz, there is a bunch to do. I have a very large yard and had a hard time keeping up with it when I was able and had kids at home. The grocery list went down and the yard bill goes up. Oh well, it brings me joy, except the damned grakels. those birds drive me crazy.
Take care all,
Kathy

Well the calendar may say it's finally spring but in my neck of the woods it is not even close to being spring.
In fact it snowed yesterday and for part of today. There's still about 25-30 inches of snow on the ground and now it appears that another major snowstorm is brewing for next week.
We will have to wait a few more months (May) until spring does finally show up.
But it won't be that much longer. :)
Take care everybody and Happy Spring
Congratulations Kathy!!

Thank you all for the congrats, I don't think I will really believe it until I see it born, same as when my daughter was born after having 2 sons. I still remember telling them to SHOW ME.
Mainepain, It may be spring here but we don't plant until mid may, we can have snow again next month. I hope you get some son and warmth soon. It looks as though we will be having snow again on Saturday and several other days in the upcoming week. Not to mention the temps are dropping again back into the 30's and 40's, but beats how it was several weeks ago,
I really am hoping it is warm enough soon to open the windows, we still have a very cool breeze. Although I am not in the flight path of Offutt AFB, There has been so much activity out there. I live about 2 miles from the flight line and the start taking off at 6am and continue all day. I sure hope they aren't doing touch and goes, that is a ton of tax payers money.
I hope everyone has a good night,
Kathy
That is cute Hummer.
I had a very nice first day of spring and got out of the house and went for what is becoming a rare drive with the high price of gas so I splurged.
I have been hurting more so I have an ESI scheduled for next week, due to the gas price, more pain I try to do my chores of living and finish in time for me to get into the Y pool and the all important break from my pain ... I was out of the house on Spring for 4 warm, sunny wonderful hours before I got to the Y ...
The lifeguards and office workers expressed concern at how bent over I looked and the appearance of pain in my face which was nice to know someone noticed ... after 70 minutes and a long hot shower the lady at the desk said I looked much better ... I did feel better and as always after a rough day I came home mentally refreshed and dozed off with pleasant memories of another wonderful start to spring.
I can remember the first day of Spring over the years and how I was almost intoxicated by the beauty of new life, many years greeting people with a smile as I said "Spring has sprung" ... while my physical response has changed I was singing in my heart the entire day.
Hummer, like you I celebrate the Earth and the life I love so much; sometimes it takes work to keep the heart happy I am willing to exercise it as I seek tranquility when tranquility seems to be hidding.
