Most of you know that DH doesn't have a full time job. Been working for a temp co but at the same place now for 6 months. Well he took a test a bout 3 weeks ago for a fed State job. He just got a call for the Interview. I wanted to shear this good news for once.:D

Deb,

That is really great news. A fed state job would be the ticket.
Cool!

Deb,

That is GREAT news, I was a State employee until I was in my mva, I tried to work for 7-8 months after then surgery and the rest as they say is history.
Most State jobs have great benefits. I will praying he gets it.

Take care,
Kathy

Great news Deb,

I hope all works out well, I did temp jobs for the last 4 years that I was able to work as without the education it was important for me to accept assignments from many agencies so I could choose those jobs I ... thought ... I could do and do well.

I liked meeting new people with each assignment as well as returning to jobs where the people were so kind ...

I did not tell the temp firms that I needed the easier jobs as it could have kept them from offering me an assignment that I could indeed handle, if it was too much I never had to worry about not staying long ... I worked for about 4 and had a good relationship for as long as I could endure.

Sorry for rambling but I felt like sharing this valuable resource as I am sure many here may have never considered a temp job ... I can testify that in a vibrant urban area many companies are looking for anyone that will show up and is able to do or learn almost anything.

Best of luck,

Pike
