Hello everyone!
I'm Rachael and I'm a teenager. I've been diagnosed with Chiari, Syringomyelia (2 syrinx), mild scoliosis, and hypothyroidism.
I had decompression surgery 10/07, and I'm doing so much better.
I had about 8 months of being so, so desperate for a diagnosis. I was so depressed, after all the snooty doctors telling me that there was nothing wrong with me, and that is was all in my head. One doctor told me I needed self-hypnosis. ;) Throughout all of that, my loving mother researched Chiari TONS, and joined dozens of support groups. Through her knowledge of all her research, she helped alot of people who were as desperate as I was.
I finally have decided to do the same as my mom. I want to help others who are suffering. I know I'm very young, but maybe, my little bit of experience could help others.
