I just received some of my blood test results from my visit to the Lahey clinic last week.

It appears that I am anemic as my WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit levels are abnormally low.

I am still waiting on some additional blood test results.

I now understand why I've been having shortness of breath especially after exercising, severe fatigue, dizziness and nausea. What I do not know is if this is one of the reason for my increase in Headaches, Back Pain, and Peripheral Neuropathy.

This has been going on for quite sometime. I had similar CBC tests over a year and a half ago and was told by my PCP at the time that there was nothing wrong. I fired her for other reasons but I now see that my actions were justified. Excuse me if I seem a bit upset but this whole affair burns me up.

I have another appointment at the Lahey next month where they will perform more MRI studies of my Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar spines. I will also see the Neurologist once again to go over my results.

Glad to hear you have answers for some of your problems. I hope the consult about your MRIs will give you the answers for the rest of your problems.

mainepain,

I am also glad to hear you are finally getting some results. I don't know too much about the bloodwork other than the obvious WBC. And I am also glad to know you will be getting more MRI's. I know you are fed up. But it can be a long haul or process too. So, hang in there with each test and/or result you glean more and more info. It is when you are hanging out in limbo land is when it is bad. So, keep on pressing forward. :)

Mainepain,

I am so happy to hear you have some results!! At least you have some idea as to why you have symptoms. I hope you have a script for iron.
I know it is a very long trip for you, but, it sounds as though they have your best interests at heart. It is great you will be getting a complete spinal MRI. That is a ton of time in the tube as I call it. Do they give you headphones for music and to keep from hearing the thunks? Hang in there, you will hopefully have the answers you so deserve. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care,
Kathy
