Do you take propranalol and does it give you chest pains?

I recently started taking it in addition to my Primidone. I take one 40mg at night. I find that I have chest pains throughout the day on this dose. I wont get them if I stop the Propranalol and if I take one 40mg at night and one in the morning they again decrease.

I would just take one 40 at night and one in the morning but it makes it REALLy hard to get out of bed and my eyes are really blurry. I get enough benefit from just taking the one 40mg at night (in addition to Primidone and Depakote). but I do get chest pains.

I'll have to ask my neuro if I should worry about it.

I wanted to ask here to see if anyone else had had this same experience.

I have been taking a morning dosage of 160mg per day for maybe 10 years now. I wonder if the combination of the drugs you are taking could be causing your problem. Sometimes drugs interfer with the way other drugs should work.

If you can get along with a lower dosage and have no adverse impact you might want to mention it to your Doctor and see if they think it might work for you.

Good luck
