hello my friends

i miss you a lot since 2 or 3 months but the forum page was out.
i am really happy to talk with you again.

so i hope that my old messages will not be erased and the moderators could save it.

if not my brother is always the same and he don't improve much.
he is always in the reeducation center and he is weak and don't talk and not speak.

my father see him every day, my mother 2 times in the week and me one or two times every 15 days.

some times we says that the death will delivers him and us but another time we say that to see him alive is a good thing.

i hope that all of you and your familly are ok .

samad :)

I have never posted to your thread but I did read it everyday and you and your brother have been in my thoughts every since the crash. Was hoping that he was doing better. And I konw that feeling just being able to reach out and touch their warm body sometimes is enough.

Take Care!

Hello, Samad ~

I don't believe I've met you before but sometimes it helps just to know that others care, so I'm letting you know I care...

Do take good care of yourself as I know how these kinds of things drain our energy in every way.

Sending all good thoughts your way ~

Hello Samad,
Do you know if Yassir has had any seizures since his injuries? Is he on any anti-seizure medication at present? When you mentioned he was looking out of the window and not responding, that sounded like some sort of a seizure to me. You may want to mention this to his doctor and see if he is on any medication to prevent them. Please know you have people thinking and praying for you, Yassir, and your family. Please keep us posted on how Yassir is progressing. Take Care, Dodi

Samad,
Do you know if the doctors have checked Yassir's blood level of the depakene lately? Sometimes if the levels are too high, this can cause a slowing of cognitive functions. I was on depakote for a short while and my doctor started me on tegretal. I really began to wake up (I started to remember people, places, events) after that.
Best wishes, Dodi

Dear Elaalam

I have been reading through your posts today, and I am sorry to hear of your brother. My son was in a motor vehicle accidint and suffered severe head injuries, and is similar to your brother. He was in a coma for three weeks, and after he came around stopped progressing, he also just stared in one direction. I played audio books for him, did not know if he listened or not, one day he reacted to the story. Some time after that he laughed at a joke his brother told.I am sure your brother will improve as my son has, it takes along time for some.but this is what I really want to tell you about---
Have you heard the news of the young man who woke up from a coma in South Africa, here is a link to an article in the London Telegraph

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.../ixuknews.html
and here a more a medical report from South Africa.
http://www.edoc.co.za/modules.php?na...rticle&sid=953

The news raised this families spirits, hopefully help for our son and your brother is on the way.

I am sorry to read of your brothers passing. Remember he is at peace now, that may not be much comfort for you at this moment, but soon it will come to pass, that you will be able to feel the peace he is feeling right now. You have been strong through all of this and you will need our strength to continue your journey. You and your family are in my thoughts, and the members of BrainTalk are here for you, there is a forum for grief, please do not leave you extended family for we are still here with you.

With thoughts and prayer, may your brother rest in peace!

hello

last week my parents receive the visit of a beautiful yellow bird called "canari" and they were very happy because they think that is a message from my brother.

my mother told me that she wake up one morning and find the bird near her and it don't want to escape.

we are meuslims and we don't beleive in incarnation of saoul into animal but we beleive in donations from God.

i hope this bird will give them hapiness and reduce their sadness after the dead of my brother.
