CAN I FLY WITH AN UNRUPTURED "ANNIE" ? SUPPOSE TO LEAVE TO HAVE THANKSGIVING WITH SON THE DAY AFTER THE VISIT WITH THE NUEROSURGEON? IA I TAKING A BIG RISK IF I DO? NO ONE AROUND HERE TO TALK TO. THANK YOU. :) :) :confused:

It's hard to say until you see the doc. I have 9 annies... 2 treated - 7 untreated and there is no way I personally would fly due to pressure changes. My sister flew a few days after hers was treated, but she only had the one. Sorry - I know this doesn't really help. Good luck, will be praying for you.

I was a flight attendant for 35 years. Don't know if that had anything to do with my Annie. The cabin altitude usually only reaches around 5,000 feet. My home is at 5,300 ft. When in doubt, ask your Dr., but I wouldn't think the cabin pressure would have anything to do with it. Maybe your blood pressure would, if you're anxious about it.

I flew with an unruptured annie. My NS said it is fine because the cabins are pressureized. I actually did better than my parents w/o annie but, I would listen to your doctor:)
