Well not in but through many a time LOL. How long has it been since you moved from there to jeez, the other side of the country?

I got out of the Navy in 78 and went back home to attend Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant. Drank my way out of there and moved to California. Spend 15 years in the central valley, and then moved to the Great Northwest.

Honestly I do miss the four seasons (especially fall) but not the snow.

Where in Flint did you go to school at?

Graduated Carman Ainsworth, why? It's funny but we always watch the temperature in Seattle in the summer when it is scorching here and tolerable where you are and swear that is where we will move lol. Aaahhh, fall, my favorite season. We often drive up north near Tawas just for the views.

Hey, I've spent my fair time in Bridgeport taking the ferry to Long Island when my husband went to Maritime college. Just thought I'd jump in since it's so quiet here!

Oh man, I grew up in Minnesota, talk about some nasty winters! -40 below, 12 inches of snow in April and I recall two back to back 24 inch snowfalls when I was a kid, about three days apart. Not that I minded the snow that much but you can't get used to below zero weather. Lots of places get more snow than Minnesota but not many are as cold or windy in the winter, except Alaska.

Glad I moved about 600 miles south, more rain and severe weather but it's worth it, spring and winter is much milder and it was 78 here today, vs 50 in Minneapolis.

Minnesota is beautiful though. I've only been once for a few days, but loved it. New England spring sucks, especially on Cape Cod which is where I live.

I actually love the east coast (visiting) but Maine is my favorite, beautiful country up that way. New England is nice too but I would have to agree with you about spring, it's too cold and wet for my taste. Minnesota is cold (usually) until about the 10th of May with a few warm days in April, not nearly as wet.

Much of Minnesota is farmland, which is why storms during the winter can be so nasty, blizzards can develope with just a few inches of snow, very flat. Northern Minnesota is nice, the BWCA with thousands of lakes, if you enjoy camping and the outdoors it's the place to be in the summer. Just have to keep the black flies and mosquitos in check. Bear can also be a problem if you don't know how to keep them away but actual attacks are rare.

I was at Cape Cod about ten years ago during the summer, it was gorgeous then but that was in July. New England winters are not as bad as Minnesota but it certainly can get nasty up there at times. As a whole, I wouldn't want to live on the east coast though, especially further south, too crowded.

I always wanted to spend fall in New England. Maybe late August through early October. I don't think I could live somewhere that didn't have snow at Christmas. I will have to stay in the northern states lol. 24" I don't know about.

Now I remember you from one of the other forums, but this was years ago, at least a few anyway. You were always supportive and kind there, it's nice to see you but I am sorry you are also battling addiction as well. Hope everything else is going ok in your life, healthwise and with your family.:)
